Saturday night I went out with Leo and Frenchie Fred downtown San Diego. At 2am when clubs were shutting down we made the poor decision to go to mexico and continue the party night. Lets just say it is wild over there and after hearing plenty of horror stories it's probably not a good idea to ever go to Mexico.....
It was just Leo and I, so I was relieved that he could at least speak to every one where I was froze out in most cases. It is super dirty over there and according to this story http://www.kpbs.org/news/local?id=13026 and all the stories in the right column when you visit that link, it's one of the gnarliest places you can go right now. Tourism is down 90% and along with that link, tons of my friends have told me stories of people they or their friends have known that came up missing and ended up dead while going over to shady Mex. Phil told me this story of a friend of his who went over there with a group of people and one of the girls that was with them went to the bathroom and never came back. Her friends looked for her all night and on into the next day where they saw her in the back of a car with sunglasses on going over the border. They yelled to her and the mexican dudes in the car got out and ran, come to find out she was dead and her body was gutted and filled with drugs. The mexicans were trying to bring her into the US full of drugs! Super gnarly. Unless you are on a PK Ripper to get away on, I would suggest that no one goes to Mexico because you could end up in the trenches. Apparently this whole ordeal is the Mexican drug cartel trying to cause havoc as an example of power, killing people for no reason and leaving their bodies as waste in the streets. I won't be visiting again but it was fun and I feel lucky to be alive. Thanks a lot Leo!
