Trails in SD

|
Today was rad. I went out and hung out in Temecula with a pretty rad chick named Becca who happens to be room mates with my boy Chris who works at Haro... I met Chris at the Haro offices and we headed over to some local trails....

The trails were really cool and only about 10 minutes away from Haro. Me and Chris sessioned them for a couple hours with one local dude who was pretty cool. The first straight was 2 rollers and then 2 doubles into a right hand 180 turn then a roller and 4 doubles that are built pretty steep like I'm used to but not real long so you can go to the moon without worrying about casing. There was another line where you'd hit the first straight and jump over the turn on another double, hit a right 180 then 2 rollers and a double followed up by the roller and 4 doubles. It was really hard to link up because it was soft from the rain as well as super tight. You had to hit the turn really hard and pick straight up for a roller while turning, then jump to the right and as soon as you landed pick up for the roller and turn left into the section. Probably doesn't make much sense but we had a lot of fun and I'll probably try and ride whenever I'm up that way.

Never thought I'd say this but mornings aren't so bad. I used to get up and work for Nate's dad at his shop back when I was A-Pro but I always hated waking up at 7:30 for work. I think I just never understood why I hated it but thinking back I used to drink and go out late like an idiot and try and be on point with 5 hours of sleep. Yesterday was my first day on the morning shift. Out the door on my roadbike by 9am and down to Huntington Peir. It was such a nice day. Girls playing volleyball, surf was up, no wind, sunny, slightly chilly but not bad. I sat down at the peir and enjoyed the morning. In the evening I went to Orange BMX. With everyone in Spain the session was kind of flat but Leo and I had a good ride for like an hour and a half. It's nice being productive and not staying up until the wee hours of the morning and sleeping in on the regular. Out for now. _dB
