Back from Guthrie. I wasn't too pumped on the track this year. It's usually really wide open but this year it was boxed in on the first straight. I fell second moto on Saturday when Cristian slid out in front of me I hit his bike and went OTB....

Sprained my wrist pretty good. Still tried to ride on Sunday but only went two motos. It got pretty stiff over night and the bumps on the track during warm up weren't feeling so well. My team mate rode so well on the weekend I'm psyched for him. 3rd and 1st in AA. Congrats to the KY. "Listen, KY." haha. I'm glad to say I'm working with Romero again as my trainer as of a week ago. We hadn't worked together since before UCI Worlds and I'm psyched to have some structure in my program again along with 2 new added parts to my training. 1) Going to bed by 11pm, waking up by 8am. 2) Having proper breakfast and begin training by 9-9:30am. For those who know me, probably won't believe it but I gotta put my nose down and get back in the mix. I'm a big fan of sleeping in and getting around to it when I get around to it which doesn't help getting up at 6am at nationals. Anyway...

The flight home was a lot to write about and as it was unfolding, as aggravated as I was, I was just thinking to myself, "at least this should make for a good blog." KY and I departed OKC at 7:15pm on Sunday. We connected in Denver and we both were supposed to depart Denver at 8:45pm. Khalen's flight was on time but mine was delayed an hour. 9:45 we board the plane and I can't wait to get home. We are cutting it very close because we had to be to Orange County airport by 10:30pm California time or we were going to have to fly to LAX and take a bus to Orange County airport due to Orange County's curfew of 10:30. As we get out to the run way, the plane is having issues so after sitting out there for 45 minutes we're back at the gate. We're now confirmed to fly to LAX. Bummed. After another 30 minutes we are switching planes so we're back in the terminal waiting in line to try and get boarding passes because the new plane is smaller so 12 people would have to miss their connection. I get my same seat and am back on the plane next to an Anna Nicole Smith look alike who is chatting up a storm with the guy on the other side of her. Almost the exact same thing happens again. We are out on the run way for 45 minutes and one of the planes indicators was having issues so we're back at the gate. After repeated announcements from the pilot saying how he is very sorry but safety is first and we don't want to take off and then have issues with the plane. I would have to agree. His final announcement was, "I am beside myself right now." So we're back in the terminal waiting for what's going to happen with the flight. I see everyone in line but I can't be bothered waiting in line again. The pilot walks by me with the crew and I say, "Is the flight canceled?" He says back, "I am not sure you will have to ask the girls at the kiosk." I ask him if he's the pilot and he's leaving and he tells me yes. So, I'm back in line again after the flight is announced canceled. After waiting in this line for over an hour, I get my hotel voucher and flight voucher and I'm off to the terminal baggage claim to get my shuttle to the hotel. I walked out of the airport at 3:15am Denver time. I stayed at a place called The Timbers which was very nice and I was psyched to have a bed after the airport ball up. I was back to the airport at 10am after 5 hours of sleep and ready to get home. I ended up next to Anna Nicole again on the shuttle to the airport and she was still chatting up a storm while wearing the same clothes as yesterday. After a 30 minute security line in Denver and a smooth flight back to Orange County I was home by 1pm. What a day. Thankfully I wasn't going to Spain because as I landed in Orange County I txt messaged Tyler Brown and he was already at LAX about to board for his flight to Spain so I would have been coming up short on that one. The rest of the site should be finished this weekend so check back. _dB
